Count Hi, I am Count, a.k.a. prayerlady. I have been coming to Jesus Cafe about a year. I found it by the grace of God while surfing the net. I don't believe in chance, I think everything happens for a reason. God has a plan for all of us. I gave my life to Jesus when I was 14, which was way back in 1968. I was raised in the Pentecostal Holiness church which was pastored by my great grandmother. Boy could she preach but she could pray even better. She taught me the importance of talking to the Lord on a continuous basis, not just daily. I am now a member of Central North Church which is an interdenominational church. I am on staff in the church's kitchen as chief dishwasher and utility. You want to learn humility, try washing dishes after helping to feed 300 people every week. I am also a worker in our Youth department. I work mainly with middle schoolers, 6th thru 8th grade. What an awesome group they are!! I love to share the gospel, no matter what setting I am in. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways, He provides me with the right work when I need it. I have the opportunity to witness for Him each day. I am a tax accountant and consultant on computerized accounting. So I travel to a different office just about everyday. I have met some wonderful people who were lost and have been able to plant some seeds of faith with them and then the Lord has had me to move on. I try to find the Joy of the Lord in everything. How can you turn someone who is lost to the Lord, if you are always down? If you are joyful, then they want what you have....that living water that only Jesus can give to us to quench our spiritual thirst. I have been married to the most wonderful man for 23 years, and yes he does do the laundry around here. We live in Tennessee, and we have two wonderful Christian sons. They are 16 and 19 years old. My husband and I are certified bar-b-que judges, which means that on the weekends we get to attend Barbeque cooking contests and judge them. We also bowl on Friday nights. We aren't super good bowlers but we have a lot of fun. All four of us love to surf the internet and sometimes we have to argue about who gets online. Usually I get online after they all go to bed at 10:00pm. I am a night owl of sorts. My favorite verse is Nehemiah 8:10 which says,"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord, Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
