I knew nothing of God before these two years. In the time I have known God He has blessed me amazingly. I am married and I am a leader along with my husband in the children's department of our church. I'm having trouble finding an in depth study on submission. I was raised by a very liberal single mother so most of what I know about womanhood is not what is most pleasing to God. I want to live a life that is pleasing in His sight and I also want to be the best wife possible. I am looking for a book or a Bible study or any work that someone has done researching submission in real life. I know what the Bible says but I need help applying that to everyday life. It seems like something that no one wants to talk about but it is very important. Thank you for your help. Hi Robin! We suggest "Marriage Without Regret's published by Precept Ministries. This study is inductive, meaning you did in God's Word and see what His Word says about the various aspects of marriage. Don't let the title deceive you; it is also a study for married couples. Because it is an inductive study, you will also reap the benefits of learning how to study the Bible on your own, letting Scripture interpret Scripture, instead of relying on commentaries. You may find more information here. We also suggest "Experiencing A Fulfilled Marriage: God's Plan for Marriage" by Patricia Ashley. It is available from the Focus on the Family Web site. Another good source is "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. You can order this book online. Finally, we suggest "The Excellent Wife: A Biblical Perspective" by Martha Peace.
